Roseberys is delighted to celebrate our upcoming Fine & Decorative Sale on September 27 with a visit to Sambourne House, the former home of the legendary Punch illustrator Linley Sambourne. Lovingly preserved by Linley's children and grandchildren, the house remains largely unchanged, featuring its original stained-glass windows, Morris & Co wallpaper, and a general Victorian aesthetic.

Linley Sambourne was a voracious collector of all things decorative, filling his home with exquisite sculpture, furniture, ceramics, and paintings. The house is truly a feast for the eyes and offers a fantastic glimpse into Victorian life.

If you find inspiration in the objects housed at Sambourne House, be sure to check out the Roseberys Fine & Decorative Sale catalogue. Discover beautiful items to add to your own collection, including Grand Tour sculptures (Lots 242, 243, and 244), easels (Lots 442, 443, and 444), a stunning screen (Lot 473), and even a piece for natural history enthusiasts (Lot 284).
