Furniture & Rugs

Covering Antique and Modern Decorative English and Continental Furniture and Rugs, Roseberys Fine Furniture department has been an extremely successful part of the business since the company’s inception in 1987.

Our specialist’s knowledge of furniture in the current market has been key to the overall success of sales. The antique pieces span four centuries of design: from beautiful walnut and 17th century oak through to the finest mahogany, and satinwood examples of the Georgian, Regency and Victorian periods, to modern traditional designers through the 20th century and to the modern day.

We are pleased to offer a range of hand-woven rugs and carpets in a variety of sizes and mediums including silk and wool, ranging from far and middle eastern carpets including examples of Tabriz, Kilim, Afshar, Ushak and Nain, through to European Arts and Craft designs.

The department hosts four specialist Fine Furniture and Rug auctions a year; previous highlights have included pieces from Thomas Chippendale, Gillows and Francois Linke, a George II mahogany serving table that achieved a price of £90,000 and a pair of George III giltwood armchairs that despite requiring restoration still achieved a healthy £52,800. With a wealth of in-house experience our team of specialists are available for complimentary auction valuations and to advise on the current market. Please do not hesitate to contact a member of our specialist team.
