Photographer - Full-Time
Roseberys are seeking a diligent, enthusiastic and passionate person to join our team as a photographer. This is a full-time position, based in the South London auction house. Working closely with the Head of Photography, your duties will include photographing a variety of artworks and antiques from antiquity to the contemporary.

This position would be perfect for someone with an interest in the Arts and antiques as you will have the opportunity to interact with some fascinating objects.

Overview & Responsibilities:

Photography of artworks and antiques across all Rosebery's departments; Asian, Old Masters, Modern British & 20th Century Art, Jewellery & Watches, Islamic & Antiquity, Silver, Fine & Decorative, Prints & Mulitples. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • End to end production of assets - from moving the artwork on to set - lighting, photographing & retouching images - then uploading onto internal system. 
  • Lighting a variety of artworks, across different sets/ backgrounds.
  • Ensuring colour accuracy of artworks, images must be consistent and a true representation of the product.
  • Process and manage files efficiently.
  • Perform quality assurance on all images.
  • Safe use of all studio equipment.
  • Ensuring daily production targets are met, at times this will be high volume.
  • Showing initiative and creativity within part of a team, which is constantly improving its imagery.
  • Working collaboratively & liaising with other departments involved in the studio process.
  • The ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with departments.
  • Support with photography department administration tasks and coordination when required and during periods of annual leave.

Skills & Experience:

  • Team orientated, with the ability to work confidently alone.
  • Experience as a photographer in a studio environment, preferably within an auction house / E-com environment.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality studio photography across a variety of artworks.
  • Good understanding of photography equipment (DSLR systems /studio flash) and software (Adobe Creative Suite and Capture One)
  • Well versed in different studio lighting techniques for a wide range of objects covering 2D/3D setups.
  • Good retouching skills.
  • Driven with a positive and can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of colour correction.
  • Strong multitasking abilities with good attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently on a high volume of images to meet deadlines.

Probate, Estates & Insurance Valuations Manager - Full-Time

Overview & Responsibilities

The Valuations department at Roseberys is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Valuations Manager to join their successful London-based auction house. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team responsible for the assessment and valuation of a wide range of fine art, antiques, jewellery, and other luxury items. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the auction industry, exceptional client-facing skills, and the ability to manage multiple valuation projects simultaneously. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • Support the Head of Valuations by coordinating visits, proposals, strategy, and client communications on multiple valuations projects, and work cross departmentally within the auction house.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact within the department and overseeing logistics with regards to client property.
  • Stay up-to-date with global auction markets, art and collectibles trends, and competitor activity. Provide insights on upcoming trends and valuable investment opportunities to clients, and undertake analysis of sales data to promote the growth of the department.
  • Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and support the development of the auction house’s client base, increasing revenue by introducing new efficiencies into existing procedures.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate written valuation reports for clients, ensuring all relevant market data, provenance information, and condition reports are included. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with marketing and promotional activities related to valuations and auctions as and when required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in business development within the auction industry, fine art, antiques, or a related field. Experience in conducting valuations, appraisals, and building client relationships is essential.
  • Experience in the preparation of contracts and other legal documents with a high aptitude for administrations and a good knowledge of and experience with shipping and personnel management.
  • Strong knowledge of specific market sectors such as fine art, rare objects, jewellery, or antiques. Expertise in the valuation of art and collectibles is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex valuation concepts to clients in an accessible manner. Strong negotiation skills to support consignment discussions.
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team. Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects while supporting a collaborative team environment.
  • A degree in art history, fine arts, or a related field is preferred. Further qualifications from industry-recognised organisations (e.g., RICS) are advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and precision under pressure. Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable using auction management software, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with valuation software is a plus.

This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday 9-5.30pm.

TikTok Content & Strategy Intern

Roseberys Auctioneers & Valuers, are pleased to offer a TikTok Content & Strategy Internship starting in February. This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of fine art, antiques, and collectibles while gaining hands-on experience in TikTok content creation and strategy development.

You will work across various departments of the auction house, including Design, Prints & Multiples, Old Masters, Modern British & 20th Century, Silver, Asian, Islamic and Indian Art, and Jewellery & Watches, to create engaging, on-trend content for our TikTok audience.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a creative self-starter with a passion for TikTok and storytelling to help us build our presence on the platform. Reporting to the Head of Marketing and PR, you will play a key role in carrying out market research, creating short-form video content and developing strategies to showcase the stories behind Roseberys.

Responsibilities:

●  Brainstorm and help implement short-term and long-term creative strategies to increase engagement, followers, and views specifically for TikTok.
●  Create fun, engaging, and on-trend videos that align with Roseberys and resonate with the TikTok audience.
●  Monitor TikTok trends and analytics to optimise performance and stay ahead of the curve.

Requirements:

●  Good understanding of TikTok's platform, trends, and algorithm.
●  Creative mindset and video editing skills (experience with apps like CapCut or similar is a plus).
●  Passion for storytelling and creating viral-worthy content.
●  Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
●  A can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and experiment.
●  Experience with social media management or marketing is a bonus but not required.
