Portrait of a girl;

pencil on paper, signed and dated July 1958, 50.7cm x 35.4cm(ARR)

Note: This particular drawing would have been executed over a year before the artist's death on 14th December 1959. Spencer was frequently commissioned to complete portrait drawings - referred to as 'heads' - until the end of his career. Provenance: Gifted to the present owner by Jackie Babcock, a friend of Stanley Spencer.
