Roseberys' Antiquities, Islamic and Indian Arts auction features an array of works, comprising medieval Islamic pottery, including a Nishapur bowl with connections to V&A Keeper of Ceramics Arthur Lane (1909-1963), a rare music manuscript dated 813AH/1410-11AD and attributed to ‘Abd al-Qadir ibn Ghaibi al-Maraghi, a wonderful silver inlaid celestial globe, an impressive Cantagalli footed bowl, a folio from the Freer Shahnameh, and Indian miniatures from the private collections of Toby Falk (1942-1997) and architect Francis Golding (1944-2013). The Antiquities section of the sale will feature Egyptian shabtis from the family of a 19th century railways engineer, three wonderful Greek black painted Attic vessels with Sotheby’s provenance.
