The June Arts of India sale is led by a private collections of over 130 lots of Indian miniatures paintings from a number of artistic regions such as Kangra, Deccan, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Nathdwara and Company School amongst others. Following on the hugely successful April 28th sale of Antiquities, Islamic and Indian Arts we are delighted to include further works of 17th-19th century North Indian metalwork, much with no reserve, a terrific selection of contemporary works, including a wonderful textile and resin sculpture of a goat by renowned Indian artist Jagannath Panda, and works by Mumtaz Khan, Sunil Das, and Satish Chandra Sinha, as well as a fantastic group of heads by F.N. Souza. A number of pitchvais as well as many Jain works of art are also on offer. An array of beautiful gem-set gold India jewellery rounds out an affordable and interesting selection of works from the Indian subcontinent.
