The sale offers a rare opportunity to purchase unique commissions, hero pieces, and exceptional examples of contemporary British silverware by Fred Rich, Malcolm Appleby MBE, Wally Gilbert and others, a large collection of studio ceramics from the estate of the late potter Deirdre Burnett, as well as individual pieces by Jacqui Poncelet, Gabriele Koch and Janet Leach. Key names represented by works in the Modern Design section of the sale include Finn Juhl, Pierre Chapo, Ron Arad, Charlotte Perriand, Alvar Aalto, Borge Mogensen and Sir Terence Conran. Contemporary art glass by Terry Frost, Ingeborg Lundin for Orrefors, and Rachel Woodman sits alongside Art Deco classics such as the Ceylan vase by Rene Lalique and Art Nouveau glass by Loetz. Lighting includes a scarce table lamp by Angelo Lelli, a Barbarella lamp by Angelo Brotto, and a fully marked W.A.S. Benson oil lamp with Vaseline shade. With estimates ranging from £100 to £30,000, there are examples of fantastic designs to suit all budgets.
