Head of Photography

Alex has over ten years' experience as an auction house photographer. He started his career as a photographer’s assistant in the Horniman Museum object store. He then moved to Bonhams in London, and later took up the position of Head of Photography for Bonhams in New York. Alex joins Roseberys from Phillips Auctioneers, where he helped set up internal systems and lead in the creation of two in-house video studios in London & New York.
 
Memorable lots he has photographed include Jean-Michel Basquiat's 'Untitled' (1982), selling for $85,000,000, and Queen Catherine’s Faberge egg, housed in the Hillwood Museum and Gardens collection, Washington DC. 
 
Alex is a third generation photographer, enjoying gardening in his spare time.
