Jonathan’s enthusiasm for jewellery and gemmology began at an early age. He attended gem and mineral fairs, jewellery fairs and gemstone cutting courses as after school hobbies, alongside begging his own personal collection. He later graduated from Birmingham City University’s School of Jewellery with a BSc (Hons) in Gemmology and Jewellery Studies in 2023. During his studies he discovered a passion for the auction world, whilst also acquiring a CPAA certification in cultured pearl specialism. Before joining Roseberys, Jonathan gained experience from both Featonby’s Auction House in Newcastle as an apprentice, and Fellows Auctioneers in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter as an auction assistant - eventually working his way up within the jewellery department to become a jewellery cataloguer and valuer.
