Biography

 

Mark joined Roseberys in 2013 as Specialist and General Valuer. He began his career studying Fine Arts and Chattels valuation at Southampton Institute of Higher Education and following two years working for a textile dealer Mayorcas Ltd and in the wine industry, joined Christie’s South Kensington Ltd as a porter. He worked there for 15years working in various capacities including the position of Manager of the Valuation Counter and General valuer, completing valuations for sale, probate and insurance. He remained a consultant for Christie’s while working as a fine art retailer and as a qualified Fine Surveyor as a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered surveyors. During his tenure at Roseberys he has been responsible for the valuation of items at the valuation counter as well as cataloguing ceramics, works of art, collectors’ items, wine and other categories of art. He has a particular admiration for all forms of ceramic art, sculpture and Chinese paintings as he has been a practising artist in all of these disciplines.
